Eight Youngstown State University students have been chosen to participate in this year's Ohio Export Internship Program.

Coastal Carolina University has announced that 740 students made the President's honor list for high academic achievement for the 2016 Fall Semester.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester at Baldwin Wallace University according to Stephen D. Stahl, Provost. Students who receive at least a 3.6 GPA for seven or more graded hours in a single semester are named to the Dean's List.

More than 680 students were awarded undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees at Youngstown State University's 2016 Fall Commencement. The event was in December on the YSU campus.

A talented cast and crew from Baldwin Wallace University staged "Angels in America, Part Two: Perestroika" during the fall 2016 semester. This conclusion of Tony Kushner's award-winning epic of American theatre is a work of stunning imagination, rich humor and profound feeling. The students brought to life Kushner's boundary-breaking depiction of two relationships, one gay and one straight, while giving insight on relationships, politics, illness and life.

More than 500 students earned endowed scholarships at Baldwin Wallace University this fall. BW has a long history of endowed scholarship support from alumni, faculty, trustees and friends. More than 385 named scholarships provide over $3 million to help students attend, persist and graduate from BW. Endowed scholarships vary in their requirements with many specifying financial need, a course of study, involvement on campus or a commitment to excellence in a particular field.

Fourteen students from YSU's Honors College were selected to present their research at the 51st Annual Conference of the National Collegiate Honors Council, held this semester in Seattle, Wash.

More than 675 Youngstown State University students have assumed leadership positions at clubs and organizations across campus.

More than 400 first-year students welcomed to the Baldwin Wallace University campus this fall earned $5.2 million dollars in merit scholarships for their outstanding high school achievements. BW grants a wide range of scholarships to current students each year. Including merit and need-based scholarships, BW students received over $41 million in financial support from the University for the 2016-2017 academic year.

From apps to earthworms to Shakespeare and more, 11 students pursued research or creative projects of their own design under the supervision of a faculty mentor as part of BW's Summer Scholars Program. Scholars lived together for 10 weeks on campus and had extensive opportunities to engage in collaborative activities within an intellectual community. Participants will present the results of their projects in the lobby of Strosacker Hall on Oct. 6 from 4-6 p.m.

Nearly 450 YSU Honors College students spent a Saturday this semester volunteering at local organizations for the annual Global Day of Service event.

On May 6 and 7, Georgia Southern University held its annual spring commencement ceremonies for graduate and undergraduate students at Hanner Fieldhouse and Allen E. Paulson Stadium. Interim University President Jean E. Bartels, Ph.D., R.N., conferred more than 3,300 doctoral, master's, specialist and bachelor's degrees from the University's eight colleges during two separate ceremonies.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its spring 2016 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

Ohio Wesleyan University held its 172nd commencement ceremony on May 8, 2016. The OWU Class of 2016 included 390 spring, summer, and fall graduates, with 65 cum laude, 43 magna cum laude, and 20 summa cum laude honorees. A talented cast and crew from Baldwin Wallace University staged Charles Mee's "Big Love" during the spring 2016 semester. Directed by Anjanette Hall, the play puts a unique, modern twist to the Greek play, "The Suppliants" by Aeschylus when fifty brides (represented by 3) flee to a manor in Italy to avoid marrying their fifty cousins.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Lacrosse team entered play today in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament. The Patriots, who were the #4 seed in the tournament after a 7-4 regular season (3-3 AAC), would take on #1 seeded St. Andrews University (SAU) in the semifinal round. UC unfortunately fell too far behind early as their late game push wasn't enough to overcome the Knights, falling in the game 9-6. The loss finishes UC's inaugural season at 7-5 overall.
